In April 2025, Prime Care Trainers (PCT) was honored to collaborate with Global FICCS at the CardioTan Conference, held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania—one of Africa’s premier cardiovascular and emergency medicine conferences.

This strategic collaboration underscored a shared commitment to strengthening life-saving skills, cardiovascular emergency response, and clinical excellence across the continent.

Hands-On Training That Saves Lives

During the conference, PCT and Global FICCS actively participated in delivering high-impact, hands-on workshops designed to equip healthcare professionals with practical, immediately applicable skills. These included:

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training
  Reinforcing high-quality CPR techniques aligned with international resuscitation standards to improve survival outcomes in cardiac arrest.

• ECG Interpretation Workshop
  Focused on accurate and rapid recognition of common and life-threatening ECG patterns, empowering clinicians to make timely, informed decisions.

• STEMI Management Workshop
  Covering early recognition, acute management, and coordinated care pathways for ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI), emphasizing time-critical interventions that save myocardium—and lives.

A Pan-African Impact

The CardioTan Conference brought together cardiologists, doctors, nurses, and emergency care providers from across Africa, creating a powerful platform for knowledge exchange and skills transfer.
