Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) Course
This training introduces hospital personnel to the Incident Command System (ICS), as it applies to the healthcare environment, and provides a foundation for higher-level ICS concepts.
It describes the history, features, principles, and organizational structure of the ICS.
The HICS course pertains to improving emergency management planning (EMP), emergency management response (EMR), and recovery capabilities following a mass casualty incident (MCI) activation.
It prepares all levels of hospital personnel to integrate with its community’s incident command structure.
Who should take this course?
All hospital personnel (both clinical and non-clinical staff).
