The Basic Trauma Care (BTC) Course
The Basic Trauma Care (BTC) Provider Course is designed to equip members of the general public and first line responders on important key steps to undertake when assisting a victim who has been involved in a traumatic accident hence guarantee the best chance of survival and promote recovery.
Who should take this course?
This course is intended for everyone, with or without any medical background i.e. first line responders, security personnel, drivers, bikers, sports personnel etc.
What you expect to learn:
- Standard approach to the injured victim
- Control of major life-threatening bleeding
- Airway Management and Inline Spine Immobilization
- Assisting in difficult breathing
- Principles of fracture management
- Planning for patient transfer / medical evacuation
- Introduction to Mass Casualty Incident Management
