Prime Care Trainers Marks Two Years of Impact and Innovation in Emergency Care Training
Founded in May 2022, Prime Care Trainers Ltd. (PCT) proudly celebrated its 2nd anniversary on 6th June 2024. During the occasion, PCT’s Founding Director, Mr. Steve Khamisi, emphasized the core vision of the organization, anchored in its powerful motto:
“Building a relentless force of First Aid and Advanced Emergency Care Providers.”
PCT is a boutique healthcare consultancy dedicated to empowering both healthcare professionals and the general public through quality training in basic first aid and accredited advanced emergency care short courses. From Basic Life Support (BLS) to Advanced Trauma Care (ATC), Mass Casualty Incident Management (MCIM) and Hospital Incident Command Systems (HICS), each course is tailored to deliver evidence-based, hands-on, and certifiable training in line with international standards such as those set by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Our Impact So Far
In just two years, PCT has trained and empowered healthcare providers across Nairobi, Kisumu, Kisii, and Nanyuki. Utilizing a blended learning model, we deliver theoretical components online and follow through with in-person practical sessions, ensuring flexibility without compromising quality.
Our value system—Teamwork, Innovation, Transparency, and Excellence—guides every aspect of our work. This culture has enabled us to mentor a passionate faculty of instructors and instructor candidates who carry the vision forward with dedication.
Commitment to Quality
At PCT, quality is non-negotiable. We:
Adhere strictly to statutory and regulatory frameworks
Follow established program guidelines
Consistently gather and act upon participant feedback
Stay up-to-date with globally approved emergency care protocols
Community Engagement
Beyond professional training, PCT is committed to community upliftment through initiatives such as:
#FirstAidMtaani – our CSR outreach program offering first aid training to the general public
Free Open Access Medical Education (#FOAMed) – through monthly webinars that keep professionals updated on current practices
Looking Ahead
All our efforts align with the broader AHA mission to help people live longer, healthier lives. As we mark this milestone, we remain deeply committed to strengthening emergency response capacity in Kenya and beyond.
Here’s to many more years of impact, innovation, and lifesaving education.
