On the 2nd of March, 2024 Prime Care Trainers (PCT) partnered with the Nanyuki Cottage Hospital in a joint venture, seeking to sensitize Ambulance Drivers & First Line Responders within the Mount Kenya Region on the latest & approved scientific updates in First Aid Skills & Basic Trauma Care.

This engagement sought to empower the emergency responders and bridge the gap of care given to a casualty following a medical emergency or traumatic incident, within the golden hour window period and before handing over the patient to and an advanced healthcare provider or hospital.

The training also offered an introduction to the basic components of Mass Casualty Incident Management (MCIM).

This workshop was set to focus on imparting the specific emergency care skills while also foster the elements of emergency care team dynamics among the care providers and other stakeholders.
